STATEMENT

for holding the World Championship, Eurasia Championship, Union State Championship, in the sphere of popular kettlebell lifting, kettlebell lifting of masters and kettlebell triathlon, Guinness record nomination «300 Spartans»

1. Goals and objectives

– Promoting and popularising kettlebell lifting around the world, healthy way of life;

– Strengthening friendship between nations and developing the international sports cooperation;

– Setting the Guinness world record;

– Improving sport skills, exchanging experience, discovering the best kettlebell lifters of the world.

ATTENTION!

Guinness World Records headquarters in London for the first time in the world registered the application of the International Confederation of Kettlebell Lifting Masters on setting the Guinness world record identified as «300 Spartans». The adjudicator from London will judge the record attempt. 300 participants are required to set a record. The venue of the record attempt is a gym. The attempt will be held in the form of a lesson performing the technique of lifting ONE KETTLEBELL in 30 minutes according to the ICKLM nominations and rules: push, long cycle, press changing hands once. The ICKLM founder will hold the lesson. It doesn’t matter the age of the athletes. Kettlebells are available from 4 kg to 12 kg. The lesson plan is 8-10 lifts in 1 minute with the stops for explaining the proper technique of performing the exercise. The main point of the lesson is an adoption of deep breathing and relaxation. It doesn’t matter the weight of the kettlebells and number of lifts.

Each participant of the Guinness record attempt in the title «300 Spartans» will receive the following: a) a special medallion of the Guinness World Records; b) a copy of the Guinness World Records Certificate as a participant of the Guinness record attempt (each participant may order an original Certificate for extra payment £35); c) a Guinness golden medal «300 Spartans»; d) a golden diploma of Guinness record-holder.

PARTICIPATION IN THE GUINNESS RECORD ATTEMPT costs RUB 3500. Applications must be submitted before 7 September 2013. The list of the participants will be sent to the Guinness World Records headquarters. Preference will be given to the active members of ICKLM. 2. Venue and date of the competition

The competition is to take place in Arkhangelsk, Russia on 31 October – 4 November 2013.

The competition is to be held at the following address: 19 building 2 Vychegodskaya St., Isakogorsky Centre for Children and Youngsters, buses No.3, 15, 23, 125 from the Sea Port; bus No.33 from the Railway Station to "Kontora" stop.

3. Registration. Accommodation

Registration of the participants (the weighing procedure and payment of participation fee) will be held on the arrival day. The official arrival day is 31 October 2013.

Registration will be held at the following address: 43 Uritskogo Str., Arkhangelsk, Russia, International Institute of Management. During the registration the athletes will be accommodated. Those who came earlier than other athletes will have a chance to choose the hotel or the hostel.

4. Participants

The athletes are admitted to the competition out of age limits upon the passport, health certificate and medical insurance presented.

MEN

Age groups:

Men: under 18, under 22; 22-29; 30–34; 35–39; 40–44; 45–49; 50–54; 55–59; 60–64; 65–69; 70–74; 75–79; 80–84; over 85 years old. The age is determined by the year of birth.

Weight groups:

Under 50 kg; under 55 kg; under 60 kg; under 70 kg; under 75 kg; under 80 kg; under 85 kg; under 90 kg; under 95 kg; under 100 kg; under 105 kg; under 110 kg.

Kettlebells:

Under 18 years (depending on the age and the level of training – an individual approach); under 22 years (18 kg); 22-44 years (24 kg); 45–49 years (22 kg); 50–54 years (20 kg); 55–59 years (18 kg); 60-64 years (16 kg); 65-69 years (14 kg); 70-74 years (12 kg); 75-79 years (10 kg); 80-84 (6 kg); over 85 years (4 kg). The athletes aged 75 perform push according the application made beforehand.

The athletes trained less, injured or weakened after disease are allowed to perform in the nomination «Kettlebellsat will» with kettlebells lighter than determined for their age.

WOMEN

Age groups:

Under 18 ; under 22; 22–29; 30–34; 35–39; 40–44; 45–49; 50–54; 55–59; 60–64; 65–69; 70–74; 75–79; 80–84; over 85 years.

Weight groups:

Under 40 kg; under 45 kg; under 50 kg; under 55 kg; under 60 kg; under 65 kg; under 70 kg; under 75 kg; under 80 kg; under 85 kg; under 90 kg; over 90 kg.

Kettlebells:

Under 18 years (depending on the age – an individual approach); under 22 years (14 kg); 22-29 years (16 kg); 30-34 years (14 kg); 35-44 years (12 kg); 45-49 years (10 kg); 50-74 years (8 kg); 75-79 years (6 kg); over 80 years (4 kg).

The athletes trained less or weakened are allowed to perform in the nomination «Kettlebellsat will» with kettlebells lighter than determined for their age.

World Championship. Eurasia Championship (Europe and Asia).

Open Union State (Russia and Belarus) Championship

MEN

1. Olympic triathlon – 3 minutes.

2. All-round kettlebells lifting – 10 minutes.

3. Two kettlebells standing mill press – 1 minute.

4. Marathon, semi-marathon.

5. Free ways of lifting kettlebells (according the applications made in advance with the description of the exercise, kettlebells weight, time-limit).

7. Kettlebells lifting at will.

8. Mixed relay race (5 men+3 women from different age groups. Time limit – 1 minute for each participant. Kettlebells: 12 kg for men and 6 kg for women. Exercise: two kettlebells standing mill press).

9. Juggling.

WOMEN

1. Olympic triathlon – 3 minutes.

2. All-round kettlebells lifting – 10 minutes.

3. Two kettlebells standing mill press – 1 minute. (4 kg or 6 kg kettlebells at will. This nomination is introduced for the first time as an experiment).

4. Marathon, semi-marathon.

5. Free ways of lifting kettlebells (according the applications made in advance with the description of the exercise, kettlebells weight, time-limit).

6. Mixed relay race (the scheme is mentioned above).

7. Kettlebells lifting at will.

8. Free nomination – 10 minutes.

9. Juggling.

6. Competition itinerary

31 October 2013

Arrival day. The team representatives must submit the information about the sportsmen’s arrival to the organising committee. The participants who have arrived in the other days or haven’t provided the information about their arrival, specified by this Statement, get to the registration place by their own.

Registration in the Guinness title «300 Spartans».

The participants who didn’t register in time are excluded from Guinness title. The latecomers pay double participation fee in all nominations they perform.

Registration time: 31 October 2013 from 7:00 a.m. till 8:00 p.m.

01 November 2013

12:00 a.m. – credentials committee and panel of judges session. Information on the Guinness title.

2:00 p.m. – Open Ceremony. Instruction on the Guinness record attempt. Awarding the best athletes. Concert.

02 November 2013

07:30 a.m. – picking up from the hotel

9:00 a.m. – Open ceremony at the gym, competitors' parade.

10:00 a.m. – Competition start. Guinness record attempt «300 Spartans» (the athletes only with the national uniform are admitted to the record attempt).

ATTENTION: At the awarding ceremony athletes should be wearing in the sports uniform with a symbol of their country – the inform which they performed. The team representatives must give a hymn (just one couplet on CD) of their country to the organizers before the competition start.

Applications should be submitted before 15 October 2013, those who did it after this date won’t be able to participate in the competition. Applications should be made according to the defined form including names, age group, weight group, best results, short description of exercises in weights lifting marathon, free weights lifting, the nominations in what the sportsman intends to perform.
